Beth serves as the Early Language and Literacy Coordinator for Talk With Me Baby. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University. Additionally, she earned a Master of Arts in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Early Childhood Education with a focus of study in ages birth to five. Prior to joining APC, she served in Children’s and Weekday Ministries in a large church in Birmingham for eight years where her primary responsibilities were program development and administration. After completing her Master’s degree, she taught PreK, Kindergarten, and First Grade in the public school classroom setting for ten years. She recently completed a fellowship with the Early Learning Action Network through the United Way Bold Goals Initiative where she worked with child care support agencies and businesses in Central Alabama to assist child care providers in applying for Alabama First Class PreK grants. Beth is originally from Talladega county, but has lived in Birmingham for almost 20 years.
