Katelynn Smith earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work and a Master of Social Work at Troy University. She interned with Help Me Grow Alabama during her master’s program and then became a full-time Regional Care Coordinator in July 2021. While at the University, she maintained a Residence Director Position which allowed her to work with at-risk youth. Along with her Resident Director position, Katelynn worked with the Department of Human Resources. Her experiences at the Department of Human Resources provided extensive knowledge on child development and working with/for children and families from a broad scope of backgrounds. She strives to give back to the community through volunteer work. She is excited to work with the APC team and has made it her mission to provide quality assistance to all families across the state of Alabama.
