Michelle joined the APC as T.E.A.C.H. Counselor in April 2005, was promoted to T.E.A.C.H. Director in September 2006 and Executive Director January 2024. Michelle earned a B.S. degree from Auburn University in Family and Child Development with a concentration in Infants and Toddlers, and she has over 25 years of experience in early care and education, and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining the APC, Michelle worked with Auburn University’s Family Child Care Partnerships program as a Mentor/Trainer, and Family Guidance Center-Dothan as a Child Care Specialist. She also has direct child-care experience working as a Lead Teacher, state funded-Pre-K teacher, and Administrator in Atlanta, GA.
